Seven Stones – Double Bedroom with En-Suite
With 3 windows, Seven Stones is light and airy with views of the Land’s End Hotel, the Longships Lighthouse and, when the visibility is good, to the Isles of Scilly from one aspect and from the other windows across the fields and cliffs to Gamper Bay.
The Hypnos king size bed has more than 1,000 pocket springs, wrapped in hypoallergenic fabric and then tufted and finished with a wool-filled soft topper – it’s dressed with Laura Ashley linens with a choice of tog rating for the duvet according to the time of year. There is central heating controlled by thermostats, a flat screen TV, hairdryer, illuminated magnifying mirror, clock radio, mini fridge, wine glasses and opener, carafe of drinking water and a complimentary refreshment tray with a good choice of tea and coffee, including decaffeinated, plus biscuits and fresh milk.
The en-suite bathroom has an Aqualisa power shower, shaver point, extra large fluffy towels and Ecossential toiletries.
The room is named after the Seven Stones lightship whose light is visible from the room at night – it’s 15 miles from Land’s End and 7 miles from the Isles of Scilly and marks the Seven Stones reef which has had an estimated 200 wrecks, the most notorious being the Torrey Canyon in 1967.
